Designed for Hosting

Situated in the desirable area of Ponteland, this project was born from the homeowners’ vision to elevate their property into a space designed for comfort, leisure, and the joy of hosting. As a couple who love to socialise, they sought a home that would allow them to entertain family and friends effortlessly, while simultaneously providing a private retreat for themselves.

The Heart of the Home To achieve the clients’ goal of a social, communal environment, we completely reimagined the ground floor layout. We extended the kitchen area and knocked through the existing walls separating the kitchen and living room to create a seamless, open-plan hub perfect for gatherings.

To bring the outside in, we installed high-quality bifold windows and doors, flooding the new space with natural light and providing a smooth transition to the garden. Our team also expertly fitted the new kitchen, ensuring the finish met the high standards required for such a central part of the home.

A Luxurious Retreat The transformation continued upwards with a substantial build above the existing garage. This space was utilised to create a stunning new bedroom, complete with a beautifully fitted ensuite. To add a touch of luxury and fresh air, we incorporated a private balcony, offering a quiet spot for morning coffees or evening relaxation.

In addition to the bedroom suite, we constructed a separate games room, adding a dedicated layer of fun and functionality to the property.

A Vision Realised This project in Ponteland stands as a prime example of how strategic extensions can revolutionise the way a home is used. By blending a vibrant entertaining area with a private, luxury bedroom suite, we have delivered a home that offers the best of both worlds—maximum comfort for the owners and a warm welcome for their guests.
